Recent research has shown that,today, there is a distinct disconnect
between parent and child. Not because we are less caring but,
rather, because we are living stress filled social/economic lifestyles
focusing more on the external cultural, societal and environmental
needs of our children instead of their emotional needs.
Young children mirror our patterns and behaviors. Consider that every
time a child leaves his/her home s/he is introducing us to everyone
s/he comes in contact with. We need to ask ourselves "How do we
want to be introduced?"
